End of life/ Memorial Ceremonies

The funeral allows people to remember and honour their loved one in a special way. It serves as a central gathering place for family and friends to give emotional support to one another. It encourages mourners to face the pain of their loss and express their thoughts and feelings and allows us to reflect on the meaning of life and death.

good funeral reflects the person who has died, how they have died and serves the needs of those left behind without glossing over any difficult emotions, all beliefs, traditions and religions are honoured and treated with the upmost respect.

Most funeral services have at least two slots for music – one for entering and one for the exit. There might be other opportunities to play music, such as during a slideshow of images or a moment for reflection.

Generally, a eulogy should be around three to five minutes long and take no longer than ten minutes.
